The United States, on the sixth anniversary of the signing of the Minsk agreements, calls on the Russian Federation to fully comply with its obligations. In other words, withdrawing from Ukraine the weapons and forces it leads.

This is stated in the appeal of the United States Embassy in Ukraine, published on Facebook.

The United States also calls on Russia to return to Ukraine full control over internationally recognized borders.

“The support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine by the United States remains unshakeable,” the message reads.

Let us remind you that on September 5, 2014 in Minsk, in the President Hotel building, the representatives of Ukraine, the OSCE and Russia signed the first Minsk agreements.

Then, the parties agreed, in particular, to the immediate bilateral termination of the use of weapons, the immediate release of all hostages and illegally detained persons, and the immediate withdrawal of illegal armed formations, military equipment, as well as militants and mercenaries from the territory of Ukraine.

It was previously reported that the UN said that the Minsk accords remain the only basis for achieving peace in Donbass.

The UN also mentioned widespread human rights violations in the occupied Crimea and Donbass; The organization’s findings are based on an analysis of more than 3,000 court documents.
