According to the mayor of the city, the Ternopil authorities plan to go to court with a similar claim.

The Ivano-Frankivsk City Council has filed a lawsuit against the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the District Administrative Court of Kiev. The statement questions the inclusion of the city in the “red zone” of quarantine. This was announced in a briefing on Friday September 4 by the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv.

According to him, the local authorities of Ternopil, who were also found in the “red zone” of quarantine, also plan to file a lawsuit.

“Yesterday we filed a statement of claim against the Cabinet of Ministers at the Kiev District Administrative Court. Not only the cities of the Ivano-Frankivsk region were joined. The city of Ternopil is also filing a lawsuit,” Martsinkiv said.

Note that according to the latest quarantine zoning update, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and several other cities fell into the quarantine “red zone”. The changes will go into effect on September 7.

It was previously reported that the Ternopil authorities refused to strengthen the quarantine. In this regard, the police warned the Ternopil authorities.
