The SBU’s senior expert consultant fired three shots, wounding the 30-year-old citizen. He faces up to seven years in prison.
Investigators from the State Investigations Office launched a pre-trial investigation into the shooting of drunk SBU officers at an entertainment center in the Kharkiv region. This was announced on Thursday, September 3 by the RRG press service.
It is noted that the SBU employee fired three shots while drinking alcohol and injured a 30-year-old citizen.
“Investigators from the territorial department of the RRB, located in Poltava, have launched a pre-trial investigation for vandalism with the use of a special means to fire rubber bullets by an employee of the SBU,” the message says.
As established by investigators, on September 2, 2020, around 4:00 a.m., a senior expert consultant from the SBU, while drunk in an entertainment establishment, fired three shots from a special PM-T device. As a result, the 30-year-old citizen received multiple gunshot wounds.
“The severity of the victim’s injuries is established. During the inspection of the scene of the incident at the premises of an entertainment venue, a black PM-T pistol, two magazines, 13 cartridges with a rubber bullet and three casings were seized Preliminary qualification: vandalism committed with the use of firearms (Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Penal Code) “, – says the message.
The attacker faces a prison term of three to seven years.
Earlier it was reported that a patrol was fired upon in Kiev. Investigators and doctors were called to the detainee, as his behavior seemed strange to the patrol.
