The Russian Federation and Belarus have made progress on the future of the State of the Union. It will be based on the independence of both countries.
This was stated by the Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, in a meeting with the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, reports Interfax.
“We have advanced on many issues, including the future of the State Union, which will be based on the absolutely independent position of our states, but with the appropriate economic measures,” said Mishustin.
According to him, Moscow and Minsk are preparing to remove barriers to trade, as well as to expand cooperation in energy, industry and other areas.
We will recall, earlier in the Kremlin, said that they can provide military assistance to Minsk under the agreements on the State of the Union and the CSTO for the actual suppression of protests.
Before this, RBC-Ukraine in the article “Threat from the North: Should Ukraine expect a military aggression from the territory of Belarus?” She wrote that the State of Belarus and the Russian Federation pose a military threat to Ukraine.
Since the late 1990s, both countries have tried to form a single political, economic and military space within the framework of the State Union.
