Ukrhydrometeorological Center calculations show that the summer temperature will remain for another 10 days
In the coming days, a cold snap is expected in Ukraine. The heat will subside, but the next week the temperature may rise above 30 degrees again.
Natalya Golenya, deputy director of the meteorological forecast department of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, stated this in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
“The temperature background will drop to 20-25 degrees. In Kiev in the next two days it will be even 20-22 degrees. And in the south and east of the country it will not be 35 degrees either, but the temperature background will be more comfortable, up to 28 degrees, “he said. that.
According to her, the next week may be such that the heat returns again in the south and east of Ukraine, in the north and west there will also be a temperature increase, but somewhere up to 27-28 degrees.
“So far, the summer continues, and in the next ten days we do not forecast a sharp drop in temperature. At the end of the month, of course, the temperature will drop, but so far the calculations do not give a cold snap and autumn temperatures.” said the forecaster.
He also noted that frost is not yet expected in Ukraine.
Recall that in early September the temperature in Kiev exceeded the norm by 10 degrees. The average daily air temperature on September 1, 2020 was 27.4 degrees Celsius. This is 1.8 degrees above the previous record temperature for this day in 2015.
According to the forecast of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, in September 2020, the monthly average temperature is expected to be in the range of 14-19 degrees Celsius (11-12 degrees Celsius in the mountains). This is 1-2 degrees higher than the long-term average.
