As it became known at Sport Arena, Ivano-Frankivsk’s mentor Prykarpattya Volodymyr Kovalyuk left his post. According to our information, the decision to release the specialist from his post was taken by the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv.
During the search for a new head coach, Kovalyuk will lead the training process in the team. Please note that Prykarpattya is a municipal football club, most of the budget for which is borne by the city.
Vladimir Kovalyuk has led the Carpathian region since 2016. Under his leadership, the team went from the Second League to the First. Last season, the Ivano-Frankivsk club ranked 12th in the first division championship, earning 30 points on 30 masts. This year, he was eliminated from the Ukrainian Cup, having lost in the first round of the tournament to Khmelnytsky Podillia in a series of penalties.
According to our information, Vladimir Kovalyuk will remain the director of the Rukh Stadium after his removal from the position of head coach of the team.
