Viktor Lyashko spoke about the signs that are characteristic only of the coronavirus
Viktor Lyashko says that the specific symptoms that will almost immediately indicate a coronavirus infection are loss of the sense of taste and smell.
The Deputy Minister of Health spoke about this at a briefing on the coronavirus situation in Ukraine
“Loss of the sense of taste and smell are specific symptoms that almost immediately indicate COVID-19, as these symptoms are not common with other infectious diseases,” he said.
The chief health officer also recalled the key symptoms when the disease is already in an active state.
These signs were listed by the World Health Organization based on an analysis of absolutely all COVID-19 cases.
“We have three main symptoms that are recognized by the Centers for Disease Control: fever (fever), dry cough, and shortness of breath,” Lyashko said.
These signs of the disease can be very pronounced or they can pass without symptoms.
Recall that on the morning of Wednesday, September 2, 125,798 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Ukraine. Of these, 2,495, during the last day.
We wrote earlier that a symptom of the coronavirus was named, which may be key.
