According to the press service of the NBU, these coins and banknotes will be withdrawn from circulation as of October 1, 2020, and the National Bank will actively withdraw from circulation 1 and 2 hryvnia paper notes and 1 hryvnia coins of the 1996 sample, replacing them with the corresponding currencies from the 2018 sample of the year.
