Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called Ukraine’s accusations by Russia of destabilizing the situation in Belarus “the fruit of a painful fantasy.” According to her, Russia is trying to pass off its “green men” as Ukrainian extremists.
Kuleba wrote about this on Faceboook.
The Foreign Minister pointed out that Ukraine has not carried out, is not and will not carry out any subversive activity against Belarus.
“Russia, by contrast, claims that it has already sent some of its ‘specialists’ to Belarus and is willing to send even more of them. Russia’s attempts to portray its ‘green men’ in Belarus as Ukrainian extremists is a cheap and losing trick. In fact, as the proverb goes: ‘a thief shouts – arrest the thief “, – wrote Kuleba.
We will recall, earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, said that hundreds of extremists were trained in Ukraine for subversive activities on the territory of Belarus. According to him, the camps of suspected extremists of this type in Ukraine are located, in particular, in the Volyn and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
The head of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Makei, was also reported to have said that the country’s authorities did not allow the Ukrainian scenario of the “color revolution” to take place from outside.
Furthermore, RBC-Ukraine wrote that, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia prepared security officers to send to Belarus to resolve the conflict.
