On September 2, Belarus hosts the 25th day of protests. A solidarity march is taking place in Minsk, students from Belarusian universities join the protests.

A journalist was arrested near Pushkinskaya.
Vadim Zamirovsky, a photojournalist for the independent publication TUT.by, was detained near the Pushkinskaya metro station in Minsk. The journalist was detained by a group of people in civilian clothes, after which he was dragged into a minibus. Where he is now is unknown.
Security officials dispersed one of the solidarity actions
Security officers dispersed the “Chain of Solidarity” rally near the High-Tech Park in Minsk. The arrest of the participants was not reported.
In Vitebsk, the doctors who participated in the protests are summoned to the police.
Employees of the Vitebsk medical institutions, who had participated in peaceful actions the previous day, began to receive citations from the police. Some doctors are summoned to the regional department for a conversation, some to draft a protocol.
Lithuania approves aid plan for Belarusians
The Lithuanian government has approved a plan to support the Belarusian population. The assistance plan covers several areas and includes:
- 100 Scholarships to Study in Lithuanian Universities for Belarusian Students;
- allocation of up to 200 thousand euros for support European Humanities University (EHU) in Minsk;
- allocation of 100,000 euros for humanitarian aid in the form of medical services;
- simplification of the conditions for issuing national visas;
- simplification of company registration conditions for the relocation of Belarusian IT companies.
Students arrested on September 1 were sentenced
Viasna human rights activists reported the first court verdicts to participants in the student protests on September 1. In particular, 9 people were administratively detained:
- Dmitry Ostrovsky – 15 days;
- Jan Bartnicki: 15 days;
- Alexander Shkrobov – 15 days;
- Alexey Shukalovich – 12 days;
- Ksenia Pluzhnikova – 10 days;
- Yarmalkevich Daniil – 10 days;
- Karzyuk Gleb: 8 days;
- Yakutovich J. – 5 days;
- Maria Sherashevskaya, correspondent for Komsomolskaya Pravda – 15 days.
Six more people were fined:
- Yanushkevich Viktor – a fine of 675 rubles;
- Stasevich Vladislav – a fine of 405 rubles;
- Kovalchuk Lyubov – a fine of 270 rubles;
- Mukhamor Andrey, operator of Komsomolskaya Pravda – a fine of 675 rubles.
Solidarity march in Minsk
The women participated in the solidarity march in the Belarusian capital. The action “Day of Victory over Fascism” takes place near the wake in the center of Minsk.

The policeman asks the women to leave the place, since the action is not authorized. In case of refusal, law enforcement officers threaten legal consequences.
Students from the Belarusian State University participated in the solidarity action. They express their support for one of the teachers, who had doubts about her participation in the work of the coordinating council.
At the same time, BSU Lyceum staff condemned the escalation of violence in the streets of Belarus.
“The employees of the BSU High School condemn all forms of aggression and violence, especially in the territory of an educational institution, because the High School has always been an example of a calm and respectful attitude not only for its students, teachers and graduates, but also for all the fellow citizens who peacefully express their position. ” in the statement.
Also in the morning, the students went to action under the walls of the Minsk State Linguistic University. During the action, the security forces detained several protesters.
The detained journalists have not yet been released
According to TUT.BY, administrative cases against journalists Aleksey Sudnikov and Nadezhda Kalinina were sent to the head of the Oktyabrsky District Internal Affairs Department to eliminate the deficiencies. By law, journalists can await trial for 72 hours.
Arrest in Vitebsk
A solidarity chain was organized near the State Academy of Veterinary Medicine. According to Belsat, two people were arrested during the action.
