Kravchuk made this statement on Espresso TV in the context of a scandal that erupted after Fokin’s remarks about the need for a full amnesty for pro-Kremlin terrorists and the granting of the entire Donbass “Special state “.
The head of the TCG’s Ukrainian delegation did not respond to the question whether Fokin should be fired, noting that this decision should be made by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky. At the same time, Kravchuk noted that Fokin’s statements will be discussed at a meeting of the Ukrainian delegation and he should explain his position.
“Fokin’s personal opinion”
Kravchuk noted that “Fokin’s statement is his business, personal opinion.” According to the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG, before making this statement, Fokin did not consult with him.
Kravchuk also recalled that the head of the president’s office, Andriy Yermak, had already stated that Fokin’s statements did not correspond to the official position of Ukraine.
“Fokin he expressed his position, and we have nothing to do with this position. Does Fokine have the right to speak about his own position? Yes it does. But if his position does not correspond, for example, to the law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, then he cannot publish such a position, because he is no longer just Fokin, but he is the deputy head of the delegation, a member of the Ukrainian delegation of the TCG Kravchuk said.
According to him, Fokin’s statements will be discussed at a meeting of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG, where he will explain “why he chose this tactic or such a position.”

The head of the TCG Ukrainian delegation also stressed several times that it was not he who made the decision about Fokin’s membership in the TCG, but that the head of state, Volodymyr Zelensky, and Zelensky must decide whether to leave Fokin in the TCG. .
“That not our decision is the head of state’s decision. Fokin was appointed to this position by presidential decree. I have absolutely nothing to do with this quote. I did not propose it and this topic was not discussed directly with me. Two of us were invited to the Office of the President, and we were both offered those positions. I can’t add anything else, ”Kravchuk said.
He did not respond to a question from Aleksey Goncharenko, a people’s deputy for European Solidarity, who was present at the Espresso study, about whether, in his personal opinion, Fokin should be fired from the TCG.

But today, to end the war and save the lives of soldiers and commanders, my position is to declare a general amnesty, hold elections, resolve the issue of the special status of certain regions and best – all Donbass.
Scandal surrounding Fokin’s statements
European Solidarity Party (which one Fokin hinted as “the side that in every possible way interferes with the conclusion of the peace in the Donbass”) called his interview “a plan to dismantle the Ukrainian state.” He also demanded that he be expelled from the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG.
The exclusion of Fokin from the Ukrainian delegation was also demanded by the People’s Deputy to the People’s Servant and the head of the permanent delegation of Ukraine to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Yegor Chernev.
The head of the president’s office, Andriy Yermak, pointed out that Fokin’s statements do not correspond to Ukraine’s official position.

Verkhovna Rada chief Dmitry Razumkov, commenting on Fokin’s remarks, noted that Ukraine cannot accept a full amnesty for ORDLO’s pro-Kremlin terrorists.
The people’s deputy of the Servant of the People, Alexander Kachura, said that Fokin was going to be summoned before the Verkhovna Rada to explain his statements.
