Hasidim used a transit entry permit to travel to Uman
Changes were made to the previously adopted resolution prohibiting the entry of foreigners in order to eliminate the possibility of the Hasidim covering up the trip to Uman.
The Cabinet of Ministers has banned foreigners from transit to Ukraine for up to two days. This decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday, September 2, the Evropeyskaya Pravda newspaper reported.
According to him, the corresponding amendments to the previously adopted resolution prohibiting the entry of foreigners were made in order to eliminate the opportunity for the Hasidim to cover up the trip to Uman.

But after going through passport control, they were actually heading to Uman. Now entry in transit is expressly prohibited.
“Therefore, Ukraine also closed land borders for Moldovan citizens who used transit to legally travel to Belarus, Russia and the like,” the newspaper notes.
Likewise, the Cabinet of Ministers clarified the wording on training as a basis for crossing the state border. Now only students from universities will be able to enter Ukraine. With this, the government eliminates abuses when it is stated that the purpose of the entry is training for short courses.
As reported, the entry of foreigners into Ukraine has been prohibited since August 28 due to the worsening epidemic situation with the coronavirus. This decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
