In Kiev, during the past day, 332 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed, and the total number of infected reached 13,878. The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, said this in a briefing on Wednesday, September 2.

“A new outbreak of the virus in the capital in the last day: 332 more patients. 5 people have died. In total, the coronavirus has claimed the lives of 218 people in Kiev,” Klitschko said.

According to him, among those who fell ill: 180 women from 19 to 84 years and six girls from two months to 17 years, 137 men from 18 to 92 and nine boys from one to 15 years.

The number of people hospitalized has also increased. 75 patients were hospitalized in the capital.

68 people recovered during the last day. In total, 4,450 Kiev residents have overcome the coronavirus.

“Most of the cases of the disease were found in the Darnytskyi region – 59, Dneprovsky – 54, the Desnyansky region – 47 cases,” said Klitschko.

13 doctors also fell ill.

Recall that there have been 2,495 cases of coronavirus infection in Ukraine during the last 24 hours, their total number reached 125,798.

It was also reported that 44% of the beds for COVID-19 patients are occupied in hospitals.
