Nvidia didn’t have time to bring the first GeForce RTX 3000 graphics cards to market when information about another representative of the Ampere family appeared on the Web. We are talking about the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti model, the preparation of which was declassified by Lenovo. This 3D accelerator can be found in select configurations of the Legion T7 gaming system.
The main difference between the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and the GeForce RTX 3070 announced on the eve will be the doubled volume of the GDDR6 video buffer: 16 GB instead of 8 GB. The GPU configuration is currently unknown, but the device is likely to receive more building blocks than the version without the “Ti” mark.
On the other hand, it cannot be ruled out that there is a typographical error or incorrect information in the description of Lenovo Legion T7. Until recently, Nvidia kept the technical characteristics of Ampere video adapters a secret, which is why some manufacturers’ websites still indicate the wrong number of CUDA cores. Lenovo may have relied on outdated data, so we recommend waiting for new leaks.
