Eppe Kofod reminded Russia of compliance with international principles

NATO called the Bornholm incident a significant violation of Danish airspace.

The Danish Foreign Ministry delivered a note of protest to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation over the incident on the Danish island of Bornholm on August 28. This was reported on Tuesday, September 1, by the newspaper Evropeyskaya Pravda, citing the press service of the Danish Foreign Ministry.

It should be noted that this is a violation of Danish airspace over Bornholm by a Russian military aircraft.

“I am serious about the unacceptable violation of Danish airspace by Russia. It is absolutely essential that everyone, including Russia, adhere to the basic rules of the game and international principles. This message was sent to the Russian ambassador today. It was said. clearly this should not be repeated. ” – said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Eppe Kofod.

NATO called the incident a significant violation of Danish airspace. The invasion was the first of its kind in several years and “testifies to a new level of Russian provocative behavior,” NATO said.

Let us remind you that Russia previously responded to the expulsion of the diplomat by Austria. The Austrian ambassador to Russia, Johannes Aigner, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where a protest was expressed.
