The company will provide data to help find fresh water.
The Naftogaz Overseas Petroleum Co. branch in ARE will provide geological data to aid in the search for underground sources of fresh water. The data will be shared with the local community in the Assiut area.
The press service of the NAC reports.
As the first deputy director of the Naftogaz board, Sergei Pereloma, pointed out, there are great difficulties in Egypt in finding sources of drinking water.
“And since our branch is studying the geology of the area anyway, we happily responded to the local community’s request to share information and help local people. We maintain a high level of social and environmental responsibility no matter where we explore and production, “he said.
He added that Naftogaz will continue to cooperate with local communities for the sustainable development of the regions where the group operates.
As a reminder, Naftogaz group is implementing hydrocarbon production projects in Alam El Shawish East in the Western Desert and in the South of Wadi El Mahareeth and Wadi El Mahareeth in the Eastern Desert of Egypt.
