The media reports that we are talking about the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology.

The group included the director of a laboratory at one of the universities, a co-owner of a hookah bar and two of his employees.

Law enforcement officers found a laboratory for the production of methadone in one of the Lviv universities. Lviv region prosecutor Iryna Didenko announced this yesterday on her Facebook page.

“A group of people who organized in the educational institution in Lviv was nothing more than a drug laboratory,” Didenko wrote.

According to her, the group included the director of the laboratory of one of Lviv’s universities, the co-owner of the hookah bar and two of his employees. The chemist made the drug, the bar owner became the organizer of an illegal business, and his subordinates packaged the drug and distributed it using a specially created online store.

“During the day, the manufacture for sale of almost 3 kg of methadone, worth more than 1.8 million hryvnia, was documented. Today they were arrested while selling more than 1 kg of a narcotic substance worth about 700 thousand hryvnias, “wrote the prosecutor for the Lviv region.

At the same time, Zaxid.net, citing unidentified sources, reports that it comes from the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology. The products were sold through the Hubble Bubble hookah ball.

As a reminder, a record shipment of methadone was seized in Ukraine this year – more than 50 kg of methadone worth about $ 2 million. The security forces carried out around 70 simultaneous searches at the place of residence and on vehicles of members of a criminal group in Kiev and the Kiev region.

It was also reported that the activities of the drug union stopped in Ukraine last week.
