Federal services arrested 200 rioters in the United States
The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice will establish a joint operations center to “investigate violent civil unrest involving radical leftists.”
Federal law enforcement agencies in the US have arrested about 200 participants in the riots that are taking place in cities across the country in recent days. This was announced by Donald Trump in statements to journalists at the White House.
“We have arrested a large number of people, more than 200 in different cities under the control of the Democrats in the United States. We do it with extreme moderation, but we are trying to help the cities,” said the head of state, without specifying the exact period for which the arrests were made. He added that the federal authorities “have no tolerance for riots.”
At the same time, according to Trump, the Department of Homeland Security and the US Department of Justice will create a joint operations center to “investigate violent civil unrest involving the radical left.”
He reiterated his call to the city of Portland, Oregon, to accept his proposal to introduce the National Guard to ensure law and order. “We can solve the problem in about an hour in Portland. When you are ready, let us know, we will quickly solve the crime problem in your city,” Trump said.
Earlier, Trump said the only way to end the unrest in the country’s cities is to use force.
