Nikolay Gonta, the founder of the B2B jewelry pyramid scheme, claims that the chain’s jewelers are operating as usual and his lawyers are preparing lawsuits due to information that the chain has been blocked.
He said this in a video message on August 28:
«Messages about blocking the B2B Jewelry chain of jewelry began to appear on the Web. The stores work as usual, you can check it by visiting any salon in your city. “
According to Gonta, the network’s lawyers are preparing claims «on refutation and compensation for moral damage ”.
We will remember, on August 27, the SBU said that they blocked the activities of a financial pyramid with 600 thousand depositors. The pyramid itself was not named, but it was about B2B Jewelry: SBU’s photographs show jewelry and chain “certificates” that were issued to participants.
According to the SBU, since the beginning of 2019, the pyramid organizers have purchased Dnieper Waterfall Island with real estate, 18 elite SUVs worth more than $ 100,000 each, jewelry, and other properties with illegally obtained funds.
The founders of the pyramid are charged with committing crimes under Part 3 of art. 28 (commission of a crime by a group of people), part 2 of art. 222 (fraud with financial resources) and part 3 of art. 209 (money laundering) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On August 10, the National Securities and Securities Market Commission published a list of potentially fictitious financial projects, which included B2B Jewelry.
«This project offers citizens the purchase of jewelry and gift certificates, which accumulate very high percentages of investment profit. At the same time, the gift certificate does not contain any details of the person who issued it. Directly B2B Jewelry is not the name of a specific legal entity, therefore there are no clearly defined persons responsible for the obligations on the funds collected from the citizens of Ukraine. In addition, almost all transactions in B2B jewelers are carried out in cash, which does not allow establishing links with the true beneficiaries of the project, ”said the National Commission.
The purchase of certificates is formalized as charitable contributions to the Kingfisher fictitious fund.
