On Monday, August 31, in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw for the third qualifying round of the Champions League took place (the process begins at 1:00 p.m.). At this stage, Ukraine’s vice-champion Kiev “Dynamo” enters the fight.
As you know, the classification is carried out “in two ways”: on the one hand, the champions of the federations, who in the UEFA rankings occupy places 52 to 15, compete, in the second, the vice-champions of associations of the 6 to 15 places.
Traditionally, prior to the draw, teams were divided equally into seeded and non-seeded teams according to the UEFA club rankings. “Dynamo” were among the seeds. As a reminder, this season all pairs in the third qualifying round are playing in the one-match format with no spectators.

It should be noted that in addition to the Dynamo, other Ukrainians will also perform at this stage. “Ferencvaros” is directed by Sergei Rebrov, Kharatin and Zubkov play under his direction. Khacheridi, Noyok and Milevsky play for Dynamo Brest, while Yaremchuk, Bezus and Plastun play for Ghent.
The third round matches will take place September 15-16. The winners will advance to the Champions League play-off round, the losers on the way from the Champions League to the Europa League play-off round and the losers on the way from the league to the group stage of the Europa League.
