Ukrainian schoolchildren will go into self-isolation
A coronavirus infection detected in at least one student will send their entire class, as close contacts, into self-isolation for two weeks.
Ukrainian schoolchildren will isolate themselves if at least one student has a positive diagnosis for COVID-19. Then all the students in the class will go to compulsory isolation for 14 days, Ukraine’s chief health doctor Viktor Lyashko told the ICTV channel.
“A clear recommendation: if at least one student in the class is infected and a diagnosis of coronavirus disease is made, then the entire class will be considered as close contacts, and all children in this class will go into self-isolation for 14 days,” Lyashko emphasized.
He added that the study will not stop there, but will be conducted online.
Before that, we reported that India holds the record for the number of COVID-19 infections per day.
