The CEC has set the date for the start of the election campaign in Ukraine

The CEC announced when the election campaign begins in Ukraine. The electoral process for the local elections will begin on September 5.

The Central Electoral Commission announced the start of the electoral process for the local elections on October 25 from September 5, the CEC press service reported.

The corresponding decision was made in accordance with the requirements of the Electoral Code of Ukraine.

“On August 30, an ordinary meeting of the Central Electoral Commission was held, during which the Commission announced the start of the electoral process of the local elections scheduled for October 25, 2020 starting on September 5, 2020.” says the message.

Before that, it was reported that the opposition in Belarus would not prevent Lukashenka from participating in the elections. The opposition wants to hold new elections as soon as possible, having previously completely changed the composition of the CEC.
