In Vorzel, the Irpen Central Hospital was quarantined. One of the women in labor was confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.

This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Irpen, Alexander Markushin.

According to Markushin, on the night of August 27, a pregnant woman was delivered to the hospital with a high fever and signs of a respiratory illness. The first coronavirus test came back negative. Due to the threat to the life of the girl and the woman, she was operated immediately.

After the operation, the woman was admitted to an isolation room, where she said she had already had a PCR test for the coronavirus the day before.

“Today we receive results; unfortunately, they are positive, ”said Markushin.

Due to the threat of contagion of the coronavirus, 10 doctors who were in contact with the patient and 20 pregnant women who were at the institution at that time underwent a PCR test. In addition, 14 pregnant women who remained alive were sent home under the supervision of family doctors.

While the institution is in quarantine, all pregnant women will be sent to give birth to the Borodyansky Central Regional Hospital.

We will remember, in Ukraine again an anti-registration was registered for new cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health also named the leading regions in terms of the number of active coronavirus cases per week.
