On Sunday, August 30, at 12:00 hours, the closed part of the congress of the Sierva del Pueblo (SN) party will be held at the Parkovy Convention and Exhibition Center. A candidate will be announced for the by-elections to the Verkhovna Rada in district 208.
This was reported by the deputy head of the SN faction, Yevhenia Kravchuk, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
It was previously reported that the presidential party congress will be held on Monday, August 31. Journalists are invited. Kravchuk explained that Servant of the People decided to divide the congress into two parts.
In the first, closed, legal and technical questions will be resolved, for example, the election of the scrutiny commission, the secretary of the congress, etc. A candidate will also be approved for the by-par elections for electoral district 208.
“On Monday there will be a solemn part with the participation of the president: presentation of the team, mayors, decision to participate in local elections. We do not want to hammer this part with legal and technical questions,” Kravchuk added.
At the same time, he noted that the SN will not officially nominate its mayoral candidates on Monday, because according to procedure, the party’s regional conferences should.
Let us remember that initially the congress of the Sierva del Pueblo party was scheduled for August 29, but was postponed until Monday, August 31.
As you know, the by-elections to the Rada in constituency number 208 were announced after the death of the people’s deputy Valery Davydenko.
Note that the Rada by-elections in District 208 will be held on the same day as the local elections, October 25.
