The law has already been transferred from the Verkhovna Rada for signature to the head of state, Volodymyr Zelensky.

The president of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, signed a law according to which the minimum wage is raised to 5000 UAH.

The relevant information appeared on the document card on the parliament’s website on Saturday, August 29.

It is indicated that the law has already been submitted for the signature of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Recall that on August 25, at an extraordinary meeting, the Verkhovna Rada generally supported the bill No. 3963 on amendments to the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020, which provides for an increase in the minimum wage to 5000 UAH a as of September 1, 2020. This decision was supported by 326 popular deputies.

As you know, the authorities have planned two more stages to increase the minimum wage. Starting from January 1, 2021, the minimum wage will increase to 6,000 UAH (+1000 UAH, or + 20%), from July 1, 2021, to 6,500 UAH (500 UAH, or + 8.3%).

Earlier, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal called the goal of increasing the “minimum wage” – increasing budget revenue.
