The Belarusian Interior Ministry announced the arrest of 32 people who participated in protests against the current government on August 28. According to the ministry, the protest actions this time were not massive.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of the Interior of Belarus.

As reported, the most active protests took place in Minsk. In particular, the participants gathered in small groups with various posters and paraphernalia. They also add that near the National Academic Theater. There were about 200 people in Kupala, no more than 90 citizens gathered in the Plaza de la Independencia.

The department notes that law enforcement officers have taken the necessary steps to “maintain order and ensure security.”

It should be noted that since August 9, massive protests by those who do not agree with the results of the presidential elections, in which the current head of state, Alexander Lukashenko, was declared the winner, have continued in Belarus. He has held this position since 1994.

As a reminder, in Belarus on the night of August 29, two more news sources, Nasha Niva and Naviny.by, were blocked.

Also, RBC-Ukraine wrote that there are problems with the Internet all over Belarus – malfunctions occur in different providers.

Furthermore, the Russian Federation recognized the elections in Belarus as legitimate and Alexander Lukashenko was the winner.
