Naftogaz offers its customers to fix the gas price for one year to insure against market fluctuations.
This was stated by Maxim Rabinovich, director of the Naftogaz gas supply company of Ukraine, on the air of the television channel Ukraine 24.
“To stabilize the price and not give our clients risks in terms of price growth, we offer, for example, an” annual “rate, when the rate is set for the entire year and we no longer depend on the price that will be in the next months. And this rate, this price is now very popular with our customers, “he said.
According to Rabinovich, with the launch of a new gas market, Naftogaz no longer sets a price for the entire population, but sets a price only for households that are customers of the gas supply company.
Other suppliers, these are the so-called trading companies, set the price independently, based on the price at which they buy this gas, and the margin they already add to the price of gas. For example, in the Naftogaz Ukrainy Group, in September the price is 4, 70 hryvnia. For other providers this price is higher today, that is, it depends on the providers ”, he emphasized.
As a reminder, on August 1, a gas market for the population in Ukraine began to operate. This means that the state has introduced a fundamentally new approach to gas sales to households, and the Ukrainians themselves can freely switch gas suppliers.
Gas suppliers, for their part, are required to publish current prices at the beginning of the month.
