Minsk women joined the “chain of solidarity” in Independence Square, but were surrounded by riot police demanding to disperse.

“Those who formed a chain of solidarity in the Red Church were completely surrounded by riot police. Women sing, ”says the message.
The activists, surrounded by a ring, played a Soviet song, but began to dance.
Subsequently, the security forces allowed the girls to leave the Plaza de la Independencia.
On August 28, in Minsk, riot police again began detaining the protesters: the boys were asked to get into the van and the girls were asked to disperse.
During protests in Minsk on August 27, security agents detained at least 189 people.
Recall that after the presidential elections, which were held in Belarus on August 9, the country’s CEC announced that Alexander Lukashenko allegedly obtained 80.08% of the votes, while his main rival, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, only 10, 09%.
The majority of the population considered these results false, which led to massive protests throughout the country, accompanied by clashes with the security forces.
Water cannons, rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades were used against the activists, and later also firearms, killing several people.
