Slovenia was the first European country to announce the end of the coronavirus epidemic, which started in mid-March. On Thursday night, May 14, the Slovenian government issued a corresponding statement, as for the past two weeks in the republic the number of new coronavirus cases daily did not exceed seven cases.

“Slovenia has domesticated the epidemic in the past two months … Slovenia has the best epidemiological image in Europe today,” Prime Minister Janez Jansa said in parliament.
Now that the epidemic has been officially announced, part of the measures, including financial assistance to citizens and businesses affected by the coronavirus, will be suspended in late May.
Furthermore, citizens of EU countries arriving in the country will not have to go through a seven-day quarantine. However, foreigners with signs of coronavirus infection will still not be able to enter Slovenia. And for citizens of countries outside the EU, with the exception of diplomats and people transporting goods, a two-week quarantine will remain in force.
In addition, citizens must follow basic rules to prevent the possible spread of the infection.
Keep in mind that around two million people live in Slovenia. In total, 1,464 cases of coronavirus were detected in the country, of which 103 were fatal.
Remember, as of the morning of May 15, the number of coronaviruses infected in Ukraine increased to 17,330 people.
