Children of surrogate mothers born during quarantine will be removed from Ukraine

From Ukraine, children who were quarantined by surrogate mothers will be removed. This was stated by the Ombudsman Tatyana Denisova in a briefing on Thursday May 14.

They will soon publish a list of documents that the parents of the children must provide to the Ombudsman to solve this problem. The Ombudsman says that in Ukraine there are now more than 100 children born to surrogate mothers during quarantine.
“According to the forecast, which was also done by the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, if the quarantine is extended, then there may not be one hundred, but almost a thousand of those children. Therefore, we need to develop a mechanism for parents to come for their children and take them to where they will be raised in a family, “added the ombudsman.
In turn, the Ministry of Social Policy begins the legislative strengthening of the rights of children born to surrogate mothers.
“A striking situation that recently arose in Kiev, when the parents are citizens of foreign countries due to the lack of transport connections due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19, they cannot pick up their children born by surrogacy in Ukraine, which these children were brought into parental care by a violation of the law, “it was reported.
Recall that Denisova previously spoke about the scandal with surrogacy in Ukraine. The Kiev clinic on social media distributes a video with 46 children born to replace mothers of foreigners. Now the children are in a hotel in the capital.
The English woman gave birth to 15 surrogate children.
