This is a marker that the old principle of Ukraine’s presence in such negotiations no longer works. We become observers, not participants in the process.

This situation can only alarm Ukraine. Indeed, excluding the discussion processes from any action to end Russia’s war against Ukraine in the Donbass does us no good. This shows once again Ukraine’s weak negotiating position today. And this requires a quick and harsh reaction from Ukraine in the face of statements by the President and the Foreign Ministry that such is unacceptable and unpromising. Otherwise, after a while we will see that Yermak simply brings directives from Minsk or Moscow that Ukraine will silently implement. We must be a decision maker, not a humble artist. And for this it is necessary to take a proactive position, remember self-esteem and form your own agenda.
