At the next meeting, the government will decide on the second phase of the weakening of the quarantine.

As part of the second phase to ease quarantine restrictions, kindergartens may start operating on May 22, sports competitions will resume, and public transportation will operate. This was announced on Thursday May 14, Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov.

“If we talk about mitigation, I understand that this is exactly what interests everyone, what type of mitigation we are planning from May 22, based on the current situation, I want to emphasize this. This is permission to hold sports competitions, but Of course, without spectators, this is the opening of hotels, except hostels and without the operation of restaurants and gyms. This is an independent external evaluation, that is, we grant permission. There will also be a corresponding permit for public transport and also for preschool educational institutions, “said the minister.

At the same time, it will still be necessary to observe the mask regimen, social distance and apply antiseptics.

“Also for each of these events, be it a sporting event or public transport, we will have very clear criteria on how to use transport or how to carry out these competitions. And we will demand that these rules are observed,” added the minister.

Stepanov also called the criteria for making decisions to weaken the quarantine.
