“As part of the transformation, the Naftogaz group optimizes internal organizational structure, functionality, and responsibilities across divisions,” the group noted.

They explained that the transformation eliminates duplication of functions, simplifies the interaction of units, and builds a structure that will increase the effectiveness of the group.

Naftogazi recalled that in early May the supervisory board appointed Otto Waterlander as the group’s executive director. He is responsible for operational and transformation processes, in particular for the introduction of a new operational model and divisional management structure, the implementation of multifunctional processes, and the development of process databases.

On the afternoon of May 13, Vitrenko wrote on Facebook that he had been warned of the job cut, which means that in two months he will be fired.

Vitrenko believes that his dismissal is due to the fact that fighting against Russian aggression, in particular the effective protection of Ukraine’s interests in relations with Gazprom, is no longer the company’s priority. is he He criticized the work of Naftogaz board chairman Andrei Kobolev and called him an ineffective manager.

Vitrenko has been cooperating with Naftogaz since 2002. He was an executive advisor to the company; In 2004-2005, he served as the head of one of the NAC departments. In 2014, he returned to Naftogaz as one of the top managers; Since 2018, he has been Executive Director. He participated in the Stockholm arbitration, which satisfied Ukraine’s claims in disputes with Gazprom over the purchase and transit of Russian gas.
