The case is related to the “large-scale corruption scheme”
The Ukrainian Security Service is carrying out investigative actions against the leadership of Odessa Customs in case of corruption. RBC-Ukraine reports this fact with reference to “Hromadske”.
According to Elena Gitlyanskaya, a spokeswoman for the SBU, the case is related to a “large-scale corruption scheme.” Investigative actions are carried out in relation to the customs administration in the Odessa region, but the department is still unable to name specific defendants in the case.
The spokeswoman promised that the full official information on this case will be tomorrow morning, May 14.
According to media reports, it was the head of Odessa Customs, Mikhail Gribanov, who received a bribe.
Recall that in March, based on the results of an open competition, Mikhail Gribanov became the new head of the Odessa State Customs Service. Then it was noted that the new chief of Odessa Customs has a specialized education at the Academy of Ukrainian Customs Service, experience in customs and business.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made personnel changes in the Ukrainian Security Service. The decrees were published on Wednesday, May 13. Zelensky then fired Oleg Golovash, head of the main department of SBU in the Zhytomyr region, and appointed Sergey Lisak in his place. The president also fired the head of the SBU in Kiev and the Kiev region, Sergei Boldyr, and appointed Oleg Golovash instead.
In addition, there were personnel changes in the Odessa region. Then, Vitaliy Kharchenko was dismissed from the position of SBU chief, and Viktor Dorovsky was appointed in his place.
