Dmitry Kozak, deputy director of the presidential administration, responsible for negotiations with Ukraine in the Kremlin, confirmed that he flew to Berlin to meet with the German side to resolve the conflict in Donbas. According to him, the participants in the consultations agreed on “new mutual actions for the peaceful resolution of the conflict.”
The official spoke about the meeting in Germany on the air of the television channel Russia 24.
Kozak noted that the consultations were held at the Federal Chancellor’s office, the dialogue was constructive and was conducted in a professional manner. In addition to the decision to continue the joint actions, the participants discussed what tasks should be addressed and the interaction with the representatives of Donbass, Ukraine in the “Norman format”.
He added that talking about concrete results is premature. Decisions must be made by the tripartite contact group or within the Norman format.
