Ukraine prepares for next stages of quarantine weakening
The coronavirus pandemic peaked in Ukraine and the world. President announces second phase of quarantine weakening
In his video message, Vladimir Zelensky said that the next stage of lifting the quarantine restrictions is scheduled for May 22 and will affect several areas. In particular, sporting events, hotel work, conducting UPE.

The cabinet relaxed restrictions on walks in the parks and cafes and restaurants on the summer terraces. Up to 4 people are allowed at the restaurant table, not counting children under 14 years of age. Also increased to 8 the number of people who can meet simultaneously in a group. European Commission reveals EU border opening plan
The European Commission recommends that countries that have managed to overcome the spread of COVID-19 remove restrictions on freedom of movement. If the situation with the incidence in the country does not allow the general lifting of restrictions, a phased plan to open borders is proposed, taking into account several criteria. In particular, epidemiological, social and economic considerations.
As it became known, the German government plans to fully open the borders from June 15, and the reduction of border restrictions will begin on May 16.
Rada will quarantine on May 18
Today, at an extraordinary parliamentary meeting, an appropriate draft resolution was adopted by the leader of the “Servant of the People” faction, David Arahamia. 251 popular deputies voted for the exit of the Rada from quarantine. The number of new COVID-19 cases is growing again
During the last day, coronaviruses were detected in 402 Ukrainians, and the total number of infected reached 16,425 people. According to the Ministry of Health, on May 13, 439 patients died from complications of the disease, of which 14 deaths were recorded yesterday.
3,716 people have fully recovered from COVID-19, of whom 935 are health workers. During the last day, 343 patients successfully completed the treatment.
Incidence statistics in Ukraine

Within 24 hours, 375 people became ill, 17 patients died of complications, 88 patients recovered. Adaptive quarantine in Ukraine

In the Rivne region, due to the outbreak, quarantine mitigation was not introduced in three villages in the Koretsky district (Svitanok, Shchekichin and Nevirkov) and in the village of Zarya, Rokitnovsky district.
Kiev Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko again repeated a possible quarantine increase. “Unfortunately, many Kiev residents have lifted their restrictions on their own. They continue to go to parks, picnic companies. Obviously, we now have these joys of life after the Easter and May holidays. If the situation worsens sharply in a week, we will have no choice but to return to the restrictions, “said Klitschko.

The French parliament extended the state of emergency due to the coronavirus until July 10. The new law prohibits citizens from traveling more than 100 km from home, introduces a “mask mode” on public transportation, and also prevents them from gathering in groups of more than 10 people. During the pandemic, 177,000 French became infected, 26,000 patients died of complications.
Spain introduced a two-week quarantine for foreigners. Visitors must inform the authorities about the location of the quarantine. In the Czech Republic, the government abolished the “mask regime” on the street from May 25.
