According to Vitrenko, the main reason for the dismissal is the authorities’ reluctance to fight Gazprom and eradicate corruption.
Executive Director of Naftogaz of Ukraine Yuri Vitrenko said his position at the company is shrinking, and he will be fired from Naftogaz in two months. Vitrenko said this in Facebook
According to Vitrenko, the most logical explanation for his dismissal is this: “Now the fight against Russian aggression, in particular the effective protection of Ukraine’s interests in relations with Gazprom, is not a priority.” Furthermore, the fight against corruption, in particular with its causes in the gas sector, is not a priority. ”
Vitrenko said that his team defeated Gazprom and the Putin regime, therefore “We have been like a bone in our throats for a long time “
“We do not allow the creation of RosUkrEnergo-2. We have significantly reduced opportunities for corruption in the Ukrainian gas market, in particular for the Firtash group and Favorov. We constantly interfere with those who were involved in purchasing corruption in Ukrgasvydobuvannya, Ukrtransgaz and other Naftogaz structures, ”he added.
Vitrenko also appointed Chairman of the Naftogaz Board of Ukraine “part of the power system, “and accused him of parasitizing the achievements of other team members.
“We ourselves help Kobolev create his image,” “Kobolev’s image is the clothing of the story of the naked king,” writes Vitrenko.
“My dismissal is Kobolev’s reaction to the uncomfortable truth, in which he sees a threat to his chair. This, in turn, is used by those who hold Kobolev in this chair,” said Naftogaz’s executive director.
In addition, he explained in detail why he did not consider Kobolev an effective manager of the company.
It was previously reported that the Naftogaz Supervisory Board on May 8 created the position of Executive Director of the Naftogaz Executive Group and appointed Otto Waterlander to this position. At the same time, the company had a CEO position, which Yury Vitrenko has held since 2018.
At the same time, rumors that Naftogaz is looking for a replacement for Vitrenko have been circulating since early April.
Before that, Vitrenko had a long conflict with Andrei Favorov, who since late 2018 has been the head of Naftogaz’s integrated gas business. Favorov was fired on April 1, 2020.
