The Rada meeting began with an hour of questions to the government and a speech by the head of the National Bank, Yakov Smoly. The main issue that MPs will consider today is the adoption of the “anti-Kolomoy” bill. (on the improvement of some banking regulation mechanisms) in the second reading. If the deputies vote “for ”, the basic requirements of the International Monetary Fund will be met and Ukraine will receive a new IMF program. Since Parliament will consider “antikolomoyskiy “on special procedures, only 241 amendments out of more than 16 thousand submitted for the second reading remained in the table of amendments.
Immediately after voting on bill 2571, the Rada will consider, at second reading, another bill on supporting businesses during the quarantine period. If adopted as a whole, sole proprietors will not have to pay ERUs for themselves during the period from May 1 to May 31, 2020.
