Carriers hold a large-scale protest in the center of Kiev demanding permission to work.

To resume work, the transport is planned only in the third stage of quarantine relaxation, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said during an hour of questioning the government at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday May 13.

“Only from the third stage, subject to certain rules – sanitary, hygienic and epidemiological discipline – can we afford to resume work on suburban, plus – intercity, plus – subway transport. Now this will definitely lead to an outbreak,” Shmygal said, commenting on the protests of the carriers in the center of Kiev.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, more than fifty buses gathered at the European Square and at Khreshchatyk in Kiev. The protesting companies require the government to resume intercity and international bus services.

The police, in turn, limited travel on the street. Grushevskogo along the Government House, where other businessmen protested the previous Wednesday, demanding a weakening of the quarantine.

“We want to live”, “The economy does not work without transportation”, “I do not have money for a taxi”, “Open the international message: people need work”, “Stop hybrid quarantine”, “Why do air letters not are they available for buses? ” – such slogans are presented by protesters.

The infrastructure ministry announced yesterday that they are working to start restoring passenger traffic starting May 22.

Let’s recall recently protest protests demanding permission to run the business. Then on May 6, protesters blocked traffic in central Kiev, demanding permission to work in quarantine. Since May 11, several entrepreneurs have been allowed to work, but transportation is still prohibited.
