During the quarantine, the Ukrainian Security Service blocked more than 2.3 thousand Internet communities with a total audience of more than 980 thousand users, exposing 323 Internet agitators who distributed various fakes about the coronavirus epidemic. This was reported by the SBU press service.

As noted, the Russian special services are trying to use any informational reason to create chaos and panic.

“The service recorded the activation of Russian trolls and bot farms on calls for violation of quarantine restrictions, information support for protest actions. During the celebration of Victory Day, its activity was partially redirected from the coronavirus issue to the introduction of messages beneficial to the Kremlin related to the events of World War II Russian intelligence services used This is an informative occasion to manipulate the consciousness of Ukrainian citizens in favor of the concept of the “Russian world”, according to the report.

In relation to 16 agitators acting on the instructions of the Russian side, the SBU initiated criminal proceedings for actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order, or taking over the power of the State ( articles 109 and 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

At the same time, the SBU sent information about the 307 agitators identified to the National Police. 134 people have already been held administratively responsible for spreading false rumors that could cause panic or disruption of public order, in accordance with article 173-1 of Kuoap.

Recall, the SBU exposed Internet agitators who called for the overthrow of power.

Also earlier, the service stated that Russian agitators escalated calls in violation of the quarantine in Ukraine.
