In addition to Ukrainians, foreigners who have the right to reside in Ukraine were flown from Istanbul to Kiev on a special air flight, the Consulate General in Istanbul noted.

On the night of May 13, a plane with Ukrainians and foreigners left Istanbul for Kiev. The Ukrainian Consulate General in Istanbul reported this on Facebook.

“109 Ukrainian citizens and 18 foreigners with the right to live in Ukraine have just flown from Istanbul to Kiev with a special SkyUp Airlines flight. In particular, our students, athletes and Ukrainians who have been treated in Turkey are returning,” said the release.

Diplomats noted that passengers on a special flight carry three “four-legged passengers” with the nicknames Tyson, Fanny and Gabrielle.

On May 6, it emerged that Turkey helped evacuate nine Ukrainians from Argentina who were unable to return due to air transport restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Since March, the Ukrainians have returned with special flights since March.
