The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, hospitalized with a diagnosis of coronavirus infection.
The deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, became infected with the coronavirus. This was reported by TASS.
“I am sick, I am in treatment,” the agency said, citing Putin.
In a comment to RIA Novosti, Peskov said he was admitted to the hospital.
His condition does not exist.
Peskov said he last contacted Vladimir Putin about a month ago. At the same time, journalists from the Kremlin group reportedthat a spokesman attended a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation on April 30.

Therefore, Peskov became the fifth senior Russian official infected with the coronavirus. Before this, COVID-19 was confirmed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Services Vladimir Yakushev, as well as his deputy Dmitry Volkov.
As of May 12, Russia ranks second in the world in the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection: more than 232 thousand people became ill in the country.
