The movement of passenger traffic in Ukraine will be restored in three stages, writes UNIAN on Tuesday, May 12, citing a source from the Ministry of Infrastructure.
According to the publication, in the first stage of May 22, they plan to launch urban transport (except minibuses) and suburban transport (within the same region). Although Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced an extension of the quarantine after May 22.
Supposedly, starting May 29, plans to launch intraregional road transport. In addition, up to 50% of suburban trains and 42 pairs of long-distance trains of the Intercity + category, Night Express: in the west – 11 pairs, in the south – 10 pairs, in the Dnieper – 6, in the east 12, in the Azov – 3. Also starting on May 29, national air traffic will be launched.
In the second stage, which, according to the publication, will begin on June 9, interregional and international transport will be launched, including minibuses. Starting June 12, 100% of suburban trains are planned to be launched, as well as all passenger trains according to the schedule.
The third stage is planned after the quarantine is complete and foresees the launch of international trains and seasonal trains. In addition to the launch of international flights to countries that have opened airports to receive / send international flights.
A source in the infrastructure ministry said that this plan has not yet been approved by the cabinet and may change, the newspaper said.
Previously, the Minister of Infrastructure, Vladislav Krikli, stated that until May 22, the use of public transport will be limited. He did not mention any deadline for restoring the movement.
