Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the current rates of coronavirus infection in the country allow us to consider the next stages of weakening the quarantine. He is informed by Interfax-Ukraine.

“However, we must observe the situation: according to this, the indicators can change. We cannot allow large outbreaks of coronavirus, ”said the head of state on the safe mitigation of restrictions imposed to combat the spread of COVID-19.

During the meeting, data from the Ministry of Health were announced in the office of the President of Ukraine, according to which the number of Ukrainians attending medical centers with pneumonia is reduced.

Quarantine across Ukraine was introduced in March. The last time it lasted until May 22, while the government lifted a series of restrictions. It allowed the work of dental offices, beauty salons and hairdressers, lawyers, notaries, psychologists. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said the government does not consider the end date of the current quarantine to be final, as Ukraine is at the peak of coronavirus infections.

According to the latest data, 16,023 people were infected with coronavirus in Ukraine, 425 patients died. The total number of SARS-CoV-2 viruses infected in the world exceeded 4.2 million people; 287 thousand died, more than 1.5 million were cured.
