The algorithm for free tests for coronavirus infection does not provide cases in which a person wants to be examined by himself without obvious signs of COVID-19, said the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov.
A person without symptoms of coronavirus disease or a person who does not have COVID-19 among contact persons cannot perform a free PCR test for the virus. This was announced today during a briefing by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov, the correspondent of the publication “GORDON” reports.
“If a person does not have symptoms of coronavirus, furthermore, they are not a person of contact with the patient, that is, if this is exclusively a wish, then our algorithm does not provide free tests,” said Stepanov.
He added that the mandatory free tests in addition to the previous cases are subject to medical workers who work with patients with COVID-19, employees of the National Police and the National Guard and all patients with pneumonia.

On the morning of May 12, Ukraine recorded 16,023 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, 425 people died and 3,373 recovered.
