The people’s deputy Alexander Dubinsky accused the Diya portal of draining personal data. He wrote a Facebook post that one of Telegram’s chat bots suggested that he buy his data.
Dubinsky accused the Ministry of Information of selling information. But then he deleted his post.
“I have just spoken to Digital Transformation Minister M. Fedorov, who during the day promises to provide information on who and how to merge data from state registries.
Until receipt of this information, the posts on “Дія” were removed.
If Michael’s information is not relevant or does not demonstrate otherwise, we will return to the topic, “Dubinsky explained.
After this, a refutation of the information of the village deputy appeared in the official chat bot “Дії”. At the same time, it is confirmed that the driver’s license database was leaked to the network, but, as stated in “Дії”, this data comes from old databases that were long publicly available.
“Yesterday, a Telegram robot leaked a database of 26 million driver’s licenses. The rumors that Diya was involved in this are unfounded. This is impossible even theoretically. So:
1. Diya does not have a database and does not accumulate such information.
2. The amount of information available in the bot is tens, or even hundreds of times, greater than that with which Diya works.
3. Bot analysis indicates the use of old databases that have been available on the dark network for years. We are talking about the PrivatBank database, as well as other private databases. For example, Vkontakte, Linkedin passwords are available in the bot, “said the Ministry of Numbers.
Remember that the application for the Diya smartphone contains electronic copies of documents: passports, rights, car data sheets. In Ukraine, they are legal substitutes for paper documents.
Note that in May, another 15 services for citizens and businesses were available in the Diya app in May. List
