As of the morning of May 12, 16023 infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus were registered in Ukraine, 375 more than yesterday. This was announced in a briefing by the head of the Ministry of Health, the RBC-Ukraine correspondent.
Note that in Ukraine, there is a decrease in new cases of coronavirus for the second consecutive day. Yesterday it was 416, and today it is 375.
“During the last day, 375 people became ill, including 22 children and 88 medical workers. 116 people were hospitalized. During the last day, 17 deaths were recorded, most of which had a concomitant disease. At the same time, 85 patients were recovered, “said the head of the Ministry of Health Maxim Stepanov.
Recall, the head of state health services of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, said that the commission of the Ministry of Health will investigate the causes of the high number of patients with coronavirus in the Chernivtsi region.
It was previously reported that in the Zhytomyr region due to a coronavirus outbreak among medical workers, the No. 2 city hospital was closed for two weeks. The institution will carry out a complete disinfection of the facilities and all employees will be verified using PCR tests.
