On May 11, almost 65,000 new infections with coronavirus disease were registered worldwide. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to Worldometers data.
In addition, during the last day, there have been 2.8 thousand deaths from coronavirus. Above all, 758, in the United States.
According to statistics, the highest number of those infected with COVID-19 was recorded in the United States – more than 13.6 thousand. Second in terms of number of infected, the Russian Federation – more than 11.6 thousand. In Italy, France and Germany, there was a decrease in the number of cases. There are indicators at the level of 744, 453 and 638, respectively.
RBC-Ukraine wrote that the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin announced the weakening of quarantine restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic since May 12.
Previously, Michael Ryan, director of the World Health Organization’s Emergency Management Program, said that most people infected with coronavirus have serious illnesses.
