In the line of demarcation in Donbass, restrictions that do not depend on the authorities’ decisions regarding quarantine in Ukraine continue to apply and can only be lifted by special order. This was reported on the website of the State Border Service.
“Despite the government’s decision to extend the quarantine across the country until May 22, restrictions on crossing the demarcation line continue until a separate order. Remember, they were introduced by order of the combined forces commander.” said the statement.
As the State Border Service recalled, during restrictions, it is possible to cross the demarcation line only by a separate decision of the commander of the combined forces in case of compelling humanitarian reasons or critical life circumstances.
“Since March 22, the commander of the combined forces has granted 283 of those individual permits. The main part, 236 positive decisions, were provided to cross the demarcation line at CPVV Stanitsa Luganskaya,” the statement said.
But at the same time, the State Border Service noted that sometimes people traveling to occupied territory under the pressure of critical life circumstances cannot cross the demarcation line, even with permission. In particular, more than two dozen people were not allowed in to the occupied Donbas separatists.
In this regard, citizens are asked to take these circumstances into account when planning a trip to uncontrolled territory.
Strana previously wrote that despite UN calls, Zelensky refused to open checkpoints in the Donbass.
We also report that OOS headquarters reported 17 bombings in the Donbass on May 9.
