In the Kiliysky district of the Odessa region, a farmer committed suicide as he lost 100% of the crop due to drought.
This was stated by Kiliya OTG chief Pavel Boychenko.
According to him, a resident of the village of Shevchenkovo Vladimir Serdyuchenko, born in 1954, committed suicide.

He specified that Serdyuchenko leased land shares from Shevchenko residents and that he only had to pay around 900 thousand UAH for the shares.
“But there is no harvest … Driven to despair, the man decided to die voluntarily,” said the OTG chief, expressing his condolences to the farmer’s family and friends.
As Boychenko emphasizes, about a month ago, on the basis of farmers’ complaints, the Kiliysky City Council supported the appeal to the central authorities: it asked for help from ordinary farmers who were on the verge of survival, and not from the big ones. agricultural corporations.
